Democrats vs. Republicans: The Fiscal Cliff

The difference of the fiscal cliff between Republicans and Democrats is that Republicans are in the zone of a regressive tax policy, whereas Democrats favor a progressive tax policy. Democrats want mandatory spending for taxes on Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. But democrats are being asked to cut government spending such as the entitlement programs earlier explained. While Republicans are being asked to increase the taxes on higher paid families. If the two parties cannot reach a deal in the next two months, our economy and government will have reached a fiscal cliff and an increase in taxes by 1.9 trillion dollars in debt.

The strategies helped me because I used the site filter which brought me to different sites that could give me more information about the fiscal cliff.

No, I did not because each filter gave me many, various options to choose from.

The site option was new to me but I used it anyway which really help me.

I will use all the search strategies to have a wide variety of options, that way I can gather as much information as I can.

All About Love

After watching all the presentations on All About Love, I think one of the most important aspects when it comes to dealing with love is Romantic Love. Romantic Love is important because I feel like our generation now is so blind to what love should be like. Most people are full of so much hormones that they let it get the best of themselves. Instead of waiting and seeking if you really do love the person, they go straight to sex. In most cases, a majority of us would say that sex is for the one person you love. "Save sex for the person you love," sums up what everyone says. But others just give their virginity to someone they could care less for or are indecisive of if they actually love them; some even give it away just because of peer pressure. I think everyone should focus on the romance of love and take the slow route in the relationship. It makes things more interesting and much more special.

An aspect that I think people disregard is Healing. Healing is a long, long process. Healing can be handled in so many ways, due to what your situation is. People die every day and bell hooks points out that everyone should live life as if it were their last day to live. I don't think most people realize how lucky they are to have another day to live. "Live life to the fullest."

Social!

I scored the highest in Social! Hooray! This means that I'm more of a people person and enjoy conversing and connecting with other people, which I actually really do (: On the Social Type category description, it says that I'm understanding, patient, and empathetic.
In the Social Category were other types of fields that I might want to have a future in around the Social area. The major that appealed to me the most was majoring in Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Philosophy. The career that I saw that appealed to me was an Attorney. I would like to major in either Political Science, Philosophy, Criminal Justice, or perhaps Accounting and then head off to a good law school and become a lawyer when I graduate. The reason why I want to become a lawyer is because something in my life happened that really affected me. It affected my whole family and brought all of us to tears. This event inspired me to become a lawyer and serve justice around the world and the community. I haven't thought much of what type of lawyer I would like to be, but a Criminal Justice lawyer interests me the most. And with my path of studying Political Science and/or Philosophy (I would like to double major if I get the chance), I will be prepared for the upcoming events and stories.
I've wanted to know what I wanted to be ever since what happened in my family, so this assessment only gave me more confidence to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. :)

3 New Blogs (Late)

The three new blogs that I followed are The Super Lawyers Blog, My Journey to Black Belt, and another blog that has to do with music. I followed these three blogs because I want to have a future in Law and become a lawyer and I would also like to stick with my musical career. I followed the Karate blog because it I am a black belt in karate and I plan on continuing it throughout my life because it really impacted me. I hope to pursue these three aspects in my life.

My Hero

My hero is my mom. My mom tries and does the best for me whenever something is wrong or when she knows what is best for me. She provides me a good home with unconditional love and always feeds me when she comes home from work even though she's exhausted. My mom is the most amazing person in the world to me because she goes out of her way to make me feel better and do the best for me.
This relates to a hero we've seen in previous films because many heroes try to do the right thing and get involved in other people's lives and try to make a difference. Master Legend and Mr.Extreme does mostly what my mom does, except without the superhero costume. My mom will always be my number one hero and I'll never forget all the things she's done for me. I can only hope to be as great as her when I get older.

Hero vs. None

Heroes can exist anywhere; however, I don't believe that our society necessarily needs a hero in town. I also don't believe that the president, Obama, is a hero either. In my perspective, I think that hero should be able to help everyone and anyone in need. Yes, Obama can help the people, but can he help everyone? For example, people are dying, can he help them and cure their sickness? The biggest problem that I think our society is having are financial problems. But we can only hold so much power, as a consumer/producer, to make a difference.

I think that anyone can have their own hero. Everyone is different and thinks differently that they have their own qualities to what makes a hero. My mom is the greatest and biggest hero in my life. She conquers "the evil," and does anything she can to save me when I'm in deep trouble. Not only does she help me, but others as well. She helps my brother, my sister, her own sister, family friends, my friends, and perhaps even random strangers. My mom overwhelms me with all her accomplishments and intelligence. She's my supermom. And people can have different heroes, they really can. For example, the three ladies, in Aurora, Colorado, each have their own hero which are their boyfriends because they covered them as the gunman constantly shot his gun in the theater. The three men ended up dying because they sacrificed themselves for their girlfriends.

I don't think this society needs a hero because everyone has their own thought and perspective to what makes a hero. Anyone can be anyone's hero, whether it's from the simplest things, or saving your life, it's still possible to become a hero to anyone.

Education and its values

Education plays a big role in everyone's life. Without education, the country would be chaotic and disrespectful. Education is important because it gives us the ability to think for ourselves and decide the right choices for our future. I value education very much because I know that it will help me throughout life and if I work really hard, I can have a bright future and become successful. I strive to work hard because I know that it will make my mom proud. My mom is a single mom with financial issues who is still raising a family. She has the biggest heart in the world and all I want to do in the future is take care of my mom the way she did for me. When I grow older and start my life on my own, I want to study hard and get a good career so I can support myself and later on support my family.

Our generation is a very stubborn generation because now these days, we have malls, parks, technology and so many materialistic needs that we don't need and it becomes a distraction for teenagers. We begin to forget  the value of education and start to slack off in our work. At times, it isn't always media that distracts us, but perhaps the teachers do as well. Some teachers just don't teach the way students can comprehend. It's very difficult for us to be heard and send a message that we really do need help. In most cases, teachers do help and end up with students passing the class. 

In the end, I believe that education plays a giant role in every person's life. It could help the world and ourselves.

These new gadget things are pretty cool, but I'm not happy with how they don't have hella other animals. Laaame

Woah

Woah this is so cool! I'm excited about how senior will be like this year. I really hope that it's fun and not stressful. Senior project should be fun yet interesting yet stressful too. But it'll be okay. If I were stranded on an island alone, I would bring a giant jug of water, a boat, and a bin of snacks, and my friend Jake because he knows how to sail a boat.
